How to buy a used ASIC miner with evidence

A used ASIC can be attractive when the condition of the exact unit is documented. Ask for evidence tied to the machine, not just the model name.

Identify the exact unit

Request the model, variant, serial number and photos of the actual unit being sold. Two miners of the same model can have very different operating histories.

A serial can be partially masked publicly while still being matched to the hardware during the transaction.

Check operation, not just power-on

A useful test goes beyond spinning fans. Check detected hashboards, stabilized hashrate, temperatures, hardware errors and fan behavior.

Where possible, retain a dated screenshot, photo or video tied to the unit.

Inspect physical condition

Look for excessive dust, corrosion, impact damage, overheated connectors, badly bent fins, damaged cables or undocumented repairs.

Cosmetic condition does not tell the whole story, but it can reveal reasons for deeper inspection.

Confirm accessories and sales terms

Confirm PSU when separate, cables, packaging, any warranty, after-sales process and return terms that apply to the transaction.

Evaluate price together with the quality of evidence, not only against the cheapest listing.

VoltASIC Checked and Proof Pack

VoltASIC structures used units around documented condition and a private Proof Pack after payment, including order reference, serial number(s) and recorded checks in the buyer tracking area.
